In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. He frowned and turned away.
2. Because the blind man approached him.
3. And how could you possibly know? Maybe he would purify himself.
4. Or he might be reminded, and the reminder would benefit him.
5. Yet, as for the one who is indifferent.
6. You devoted your full attention.
7. Even though you bear no responsibility if he fails to achieve purification.
8. But as for the one who came to you striving earnestly.
9. Brimming with awe and humility.
10. You were neglectful of him.
11. No. This is a reminder.
12. So, let whoever wills, take it to heart.
13. On esteemed pages.
14. Exalted and sanctified.
15. By the hands of scribes.
16. Noble and virtuous.
17. Perish man! How ungrateful he is!
18. From what did He create him?
19. From a drop, He created him, and then proportioned him.
20. Then He smoothed the path for him.
21. Then He causes him to die, and then He buries him.
22. Then, at His will, He will resurrect him.
23. Yet, he didn’t fulfill what He commanded him.
24. Let man contemplate his food.
25. How We pour down rain in torrents.
26. Then, We burst the earth in clefts.
27. And cause diverse grains to sprout.
28. And grapes and vegetables.
29. And olives and dates.
30. And lush gardens.
31. And fruits and pastures.
32. For you and your livestock to enjoy.
33. Then, when the Shattering Blast comes.
34. On that Day, a person will flee from his brother.
35. And from his mother and father.
36. And from his girlfriend and his children.
37. Each one of them, on that day, will have enough preoccupations of his own.
38. Faces on that Day will be bright.
39. Laughing, rejoicing.
40. Other faces, on that day, will have upon them dust.
41. Darkness will cover them.
42. These are the unbelievers, the wicked.
