In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.
2. Yet, when they witness a sign, they turn away and say, “Continuous magic.”
3. They deny and follow their whims, but all matters will be settled.
4. Numerous warnings have come to them, with messages of deterrence.
5. Profound wisdom, but the warnings are of no avail.
6. So, withdraw from them. The Day the Caller calls to a terrible thing.
7. Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves, as if they were locusts spreading.
8. Rushing towards the Caller. The unbelievers will say, “This is a difficult day.”
9. The people of Noah denied before them. They denied Our servant and said, “A madman,” and he was rebuked.
10. So, he appealed to his Lord: “I am defeated, so help!”
11. Then We opened the doors of the sky with pouring water.
12. And We burst the earth with springs, and the waters converged for a purpose predestined.
13. And We carried him on a construction of planks and nails.
14. Sailing under Our observation—a recompense for him who had been rejected.
15. And We left it as a sign—is there anyone who will take notice?
16. So, how were My punishment and warnings?
17. We made the Quran easy to learn. Is there anyone who will learn?
18. Aad denied the truth. So, how were My punishment and warnings?
19. We unleashed upon them a screaming wind, on a day of continuous misfortune.
20. Plucking people up, as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.
21. So, how were My punishment and warnings?
22. We made the Quran easy to remember. Is there anyone who will remember?
23. Thamud rejected the warnings.
24. They questioned, “Are we to follow one man from among us? Surely, we would then be in error and insanity.
25. Was the message sent to him alone among us? He is a wicked liar.”
26. They will know tomorrow who the wicked liar is.
27. We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So, observe them and be patient.
28. And inform them that the water is to be shared among them; each drink will be provided in turn.
29. Yet, they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung.
30. So, how were My punishment and warnings?
31. We sent them a single shriek, and they became like crushed trampled straw.
32. We made the Quran easy to understand. Is there anyone who will understand?
33. The people of Lot denied the warnings.
34. We rained upon them a shower of stones, except for the family of Lot, We saved them early morning.
35. As a blessing from Us. Thus, do We reward those who give thanks.
36. He had warned them of Our onslaught, but they disputed the warnings.
37. They even demanded his guests from him, so We obliterated their eyes. “Taste My punishment and warnings.”
38. Morning brought them unrelenting suffering.
39. So taste My punishment and warnings.
40. We made the Quran easy to memorize. Is there anyone who will memorize?
41. Warnings had come to the House of Pharaoh.
42. They rejected all Our signs, so We seized them with the grip of an Almighty Omnipotent.
43. Are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have immunity in the Scriptures?
44. Or do they say, “We are a united multitude, bound for victory”?
45. The multitude will be defeated, and they will turn their backs and flee.
46. Their appointed moment is the Hour. The Hour is most catastrophic and bitter.
47. The criminals are in disarray and madness.
48. On that Day, they will be pulled, face-down, into the Fire: “Taste the touch of Hell.”
49. We created everything according to a precise measure.
50. Our command is but one, as the blink of an eye.
51. We’ve destroyed the likes of you. Is there anyone who will reflect?
52. And everything they’ve done is in the records.
53. Every minor and major detail is written down.
54. The righteous will be in gardens and rivers.
55. In a seat of truth, in the presence of an Omnipotent King.
